Today marks a significant milestone for one of our colleagues, Mark O’Donnell, as he celebrates his 25th work anniversary. To commemorate this occasion, we sat down with Mark to reflect on his journey, highlights, and what has made his time with us so special.
From Automotive Glazing Technician to Estates Manager
Mark began his career with us as an automotive glazing technician at Auto Windscreens Peterborough fitting centre. Over the past 25 years, his dedication, hard work, and passion have propelled him through various roles within the company.
Reflecting on the Highlights
When asked about his highlights, Mark’s response was brimming with enthusiasm. “My highlights have been many and varied, but they have to be the same as my most memorable,” he shared. “Markerstudy, along with a good friend, Nigel Davies, saving AW back in 2011 has to be right up there!”
The Journey of Growth and Progress
Mark’s journey within the company has been nothing short of remarkable. Starting as a mobile tech at Auto Windscreens Peterborough, he progressed through roles such as defleet technician, supervisor, assistant manager, and fitting centre manager. His expertise in the building trade led him to manage the maintenance team in Chesterfield, where he honed his skills in property leasing, acquisitions, and disposals.
Memorable Moments and Contributions
Among the variety of memorable moments, Mark fondly recalls working alongside the British Touring Car teams sponsored by Auto Windscreens. His representation of Lancaster Insurance at Classic Car Shows at the NEC stands out as a testament to his dedication to promoting the brand.
What Makes Mark’s Journey Special?
When asked about his longevity with the company, Mark’s answer was heartfelt. “Auto Windscreens has always been a special place to be and work,” he expressed. “Since the Markerstudy acquisition, times have been challenging but even more rewarding. I am happy to be part of this fantastic extended family and wish to end my working career here!”

As we embark on the next chapter with the rebranding to Presence & Co, Mark is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. “I look forward to promoting us to be part of something really exciting.
