General Maintenance Engineer, York

We are looking for a general building maintenance engineer to join our team in York. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of maintenance work, with a particular bias towards the plumbing trade. The role involves working in both commercial and residential settings, delivering reactive and project-based works as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
– Maintain and repair residential and commercial properties.
– Deliver high-standard maintenance services in a timely manner.
– Address and fix issues in live rented properties for our tenants.
– Refresh properties between tenancies to ensure they are ready for new occupants.
– Maintain and refit commercial properties, including office spaces and workshops.
– Conduct proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure properties are always ready to let.
– Travel to various sites across the UK as needed, with occasional stay-away work.

Requirements:
– At least 5 years of experience in the maintenance industry.
– Extensive knowledge of general building maintenance, with a bias towards plumbing.
– Experience working in both commercial and residential settings.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Reliable, punctual, and professional.
