Repairs & Restorations
Bringing Life Back to Your Woodwork
Not everything needs replacing. Quite often the original woodwork just needs some care to look its best again. A scratched door, worn floorboards or a chipped bannister can be repaired so it feels part of the home again.
Our team have spent years working on period homes, repairing and restoring woodwork so it looks right for the property.
Some of the work they do includes:
• Timber doors and frames, from small fixes to repairing larger damage
• Wooden floors, including sanding, refinishing and replacing damaged boards
• Staircases, from minor repairs to full restoration
• Skirting boards and mouldings, repairing or recreating missing sections
• Built-in joinery such as cupboards, shelves and fitted units
Why restore instead of replace?
Restoration keeps the character of the house. It usually costs less than replacing everything. It also avoids unnecessary waste, reusing quality materials where possible.
A Recent Project
“We had some beautiful but badly worn original floorboards in our Victorian home. The team at Presence & Co. did an incredible job restoring them – the transformation was unbelievable! The floors now look stunning while still retaining their original character.”
