Key Responsibilities

· Project Management: Oversee and manage electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
· Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate the costs of electrical projects, including labour, materials, and overhead, to ensure financial efficiency.
· Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior electricians, promoting their development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
· Accreditation Compliance: Ensure all projects and installations comply with NAPIT standards and industry regulations.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
· Ownership: taking ownership of this department within the wider department, targeted financially
· Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently, implementing long-term solutions and improvements.
· Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, schematics, and reports, for reference and compliance purposes.
· Reporting to Head of Division
· Line management experience
· Working with both commercial and residential jobs

The candidate would need to have:

Must have NAPIT accreditation – not expired
· Fully qualified in electrical engineering with relevant certifications.
· Experience in electrical engineering roles, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects.
· Strong ability to accurately cost and budget engineering projects.
· Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and leadership abilities.
· Proficiency with relevant software and tools used in electrical engineering.
– Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391-50)
